Frequently Asked Questions

1.WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR FIRST VISIT?
In your first session, the therapist typically will ask certain questions about you and your life. This information helps them make an initial assessment of your situation.

2. HOW LONG WILL I NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN THERAPY BEFORE I FEEL BETTER?
The duration depends on the challenges you want to resolve, and the kind of outcome you are seeking. Some people stay in therapy for a short time. For others, psychotherapy becomes a vehicle for personal development and greater self awareness over a longer period. Ultimately, how long you remain in therapy is always your choice.

3. IS IT COVERED THROUGH MY INSURANCE BENEFITS? Psychotherapy is covered by most extended health benefit plans. A few of our therapists hold Masters of Social Work and others are Registered Psychotherapists, so your appointment could be covered under social work or psychotherapy depending on your therapist’s qualifications. For your convenience, should you require a medical note we can have one of our Integra Doctors assist!
