We all face moments in our lives that feel overwhelming. The decision to start therapy can feel daunting, and it takes courage to reach out for the support you need. Laura believes that therapy is an invaluable space and source of support when we experience anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, issues of self-esteem, isolation, or any number of challenges we face throughout life. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership, and Laura is committed to working collaboratively with individuals from all walks of life to support positive change and emotional growth.

Laura is a Registered Social Worker with experience in Canada and the U.S. She received her Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW), Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW), and the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW). She holds the therapeutic relationship at the forefront of her work while also incorporating methods of mindfulness-based interventions, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and attachment-based approaches. She is committed to Anti-Oppressive Practice by supporting individuals whose experience of oppression has had profound personal consequences, and to help them move forward with a greater sense of empowerment. She believes that our learning is never finished, and is deeply committed to ongoing professional development and reflection to best meet clients’ needs.

Laura provides a safe and confidential space for clients to reflect, work through challenges, and tap into their own strength. Guided by a sense of compassion and honesty, she is committed to providing therapy that meets each client’s unique needs, honours their personal values and lived experience, and allows them to move forward with a greater sense of purpose, meaning, and connection.
